There's more than just electrical power behind your cooperative.
The real power lies with you, the members, who collectively own the Company. That means affordable rates, better service, and greater satisfaction. In short, cooperative power from KEC means MORE power to to you!
Established in 1945, KEC provides electric service to 29,686 meters and maintains 4,217 miles of distribution line in the counties of Latimer, LeFlore, Pittsburg, Pushmataha and Atoka.
The electric cooperative’s headquarters office is located on Highway 2, south of Wilburton. KEC is owned by the members it serves. Any individual or business purchasing electricity from KEC is considered to be a member-owner of the Cooperative. Each member – no matter how much electricity is purchased – has a say in how the Cooperative is operated.
